The whole reason that this website exists is due to all the excitment around podcasting.
For quite some time I’ve been meaning to setup a machine that I could drop outside of my firewall and throw up a web server and other various applications. I thought it would be nice to put up pictures for my family, provide an easier way to do file sharing, and provide access to certain services while I’m away from the house.
Prior to this point I’ve never really gotten around to it. But this podcasting thing is exciting and has finally motivated me to do something.
So here we are, outside the firewall.
I don’t expect that I’m going to write here much, but you never know. Maybe it will prove to be an interesting way to relax for me. I do want to play around a bit with some podcasting, but I’ve realized that first I need to practice my speaking. I recorded a few samples of myself talking and was suprised at how poor it sounded. I found myself unconciously using slang and even talking in incomplete sentances. Yikes!
In general I like interesting uses of technology, gadgets, video games, music, photography and programming. But doesn’t that describe a majority of the people that post these things?
So if you find something on here interesting, great! If not, well then I probably found some more interesting way to pass my time.
It’s not like I don’t already have too many hobbies.
